NEC Classic and restoration show 2024....

The Mx5 Owners club asked us along to do the spanners and talk to anyone that had a question that stopped and wanted to know, we were there with Andrew from Autolinkmx5 who brought his Tokyo Ltd, Chris and Garath from the Mx5 restorers who brought their black Le man, My own Black blur mk1 VSII, the project Mk1 that is a SNC for a demo of water pump,belt and seal change and a sevice, front wing change,roof off check door membrane, one was missing and a fabrication one made at the show, immobiliser removed, HU unit removed,,steering wheel swapped gear knob swapped( that was fun, sun visors swapped, gear shaft gaiter swapped, undertray fitted with all broken studs drilled out to fit and secure over the 3 days live an open .
There was also a very very tied Mk2.5 Montana, spiders and all ,which looked very out of place from a chap from a mag that had done nothing with it for 5 years, that had talked Iains ear off to pu it on the stand and won , it really was wrong , but hey.
Our journey for this starts many weeks before preping and organising, and we drove down on the Thursday myself Daryl and Andrew needing the sto 3 times for crashes and break downs on thee fudging smart motorways, I understand way the smart motorways were being rolled out, but they are just I'll thought out and dangerous plus the the other issue is you need smart drivers to use them ,and 80% are not.
Any way, the was Russell, ((top bloke) Marcus and his daughter were detailing, the chairman Roger dodger was there,a load of owners from the club that gave up their free time to help with everything anyone needed, respect to them all,and of course Mr Iain Fleming that organises all this stuff.
So stage one of project NEC is complete, so until next year?
