Another Successful MOT but??

Postby blackyb » Wed Aug 12, 2020 9:15 pm

Wrong thread, so ==== I have no excuse

Well yet another fault free MOT on our Eunos which is good news but, I still have an annoying rattle that seems to eminate from the front near side.

Despite giving it rock on while on the rocker plates on the mot rig, we cant find anything loose. So we popped it onto the two poster to get the weight of the axles and again we cant find a culprit.

So today after a drive out, I noticed that if while travelling over a bumpy road with the annoying rattle in my ears, I feather the foot brake the rattle goes, so my thinking is possibly the caliper.

I know from when it was serviced it that the caliper is not seized, the slider pins and nice and free but could they be too free. And before anyone asks, she has the lift of springs fitted.

This might be one for Mm to explore if I can get him that is.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have moved it to here as you had posted it up in "spotted" fat fingers.
Sounds like the lift off springs are gone or loose and the pads are rattling on the carrier slider clips.
