Floppy Seat belts

Got a problem, need some advice ?
Get in here and ask the pros. There will always be one to bring you the correct answer, quickly.

As above my seat belts have lost tension, can I tighten them up or is it a replacement job ??? :text-thankyouyellow:

I'm sure I remember reading that they're not serviceable...but I can't for the life of me find it now so I'm not sure.

Mine seem a little slack as you buckle in but just a little tug and they are fine is that normal for imports?

It's a jap thing ,let me find which fuse that you need to remove and it will tighten up, i'll need to check the hong kong book of kung fu, and get back to you.

Really? Having had the seatbelts out in both my current '91 V-Spec Roadster and my previous '95 1.8i S MX-5 I can confirm that there are no electrical connections to the seat belt reels. What would the fuse be for? :???:

This is a jap interoir fuse box cover that i have converted into english, you can see BELTS clearly labeled on the right ,so you should be able to work out which one against the Jap cover....

Nothing personal but I'm gonna need to see pics before I believe that there is an electric seat belt retraction system rather than a good old fashioned spring (which is what I know my car has).

They have some weird de-tensioner thing. No idea why. I guess Japs don't like to feel a tight seatbelt :roll:
