:text-imwithstupid: :laughing-rolling: ha probably is rubbish... but apparently if you have slow to retract belts and if you pull them out all the way and spray the furniture polish onto a rag and rub into the belt it improves them...............................
I'll get my coat

That's just what i was thinking.

If anyone wants to see what the JDM belt looseners look like, it's the one on the left (the white thing is the loosener)

Just stumbled on this fuse box cover translation and it's made my day. I've been looking for a translated Jap fuse box diagram for ages and I find one on my doorstep :-) Even more fab is that I've been seriously pi**ed off about the seat belt de-tensioners on my Mk1 Jap imports but I had no idea which fuse to pull. :handgestures-thumbup:

Truth be known, it un-nerves me when the seat belt gives you a load of slack without asking!!! Really weird. Any ideas why this was fitted to the Jap models? Can't believe it was simply for comfort?

Anyway, great intel MM. :text-thankyouyellow:
Cheers,
Creepy.

Just pulled the "belts" fuse and joy of joys - no more annoying seat belt de-tensioning.
Another job done :-)
Cheers for the intel.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but it's just made my day. I've just bought a 1993 1.8 Eunos and the seat belt is irritatingly loose. Not ever so but just a bit slack. I thought I was going to have to replace the belt but I'll be pulling that fuse just as soon as I get back to the car.
