Could it be the ABS ecu though I found water in the footwell it was only at the bottom. The underlay beneath the module was bone dry!

I have the ECU out its a N055 67 650. It looks in perfect nick. No water stains or rusting but does that mean anything? Suffolk Mazda have one for a penny shy of £27.

Try drying it out first in the house, get rid of any moisture that is in the foot well , check all the ECU pins are clean and not tarnished and on the plugs.

I have taken it out and it looks perfect. No tarnishing at all, no water stains. I have bitten the bullet and ordered from Suffolk Mazda.
