Hi all, can anyone recommend a good outlet to get a spare NC remote key fob from?. It is the 4 button one with the flip out key. Thanks. Chris.

Wayne does not have a Scooby if it is allright as you have not done your homework as you have not read the instructions the seller has given.

The posters to your question on the owners club forum were little help.

Go back to the ebay page and do as instructed by the seller and separate the key from the remote section of your key assembly, it explains how in the cars owners manual and find the make and number of the remote part on the mating surfaces between the key and the remote.

The info on how to teach the remote to the car is on the owners club downloads.

The remote can be three or four button but the main thing is that it has the same make and number on the mating surface as your existing remote.

Buy that off ebay.

You then have to decide if you are prepared to have a separate key if so Timpsons can sell you a key with a cloaned transponder made from your existing key blade.

Or buy a chipped key blade section from ebay get the key part cut then get Mazda or someone with the kit may be able to teach that to the car but that requires the security kit and there are people who say these ebay chipped key blades cannot be paired with the car. I have never tried.

Assuming you do not want to go to the Mazda dealer you can get an unchipped blade from ebay and have that cut from your existing key and take the chip out of the Timpsons key and fix that to your new cut blade.

I just use the Timpsons key.

I know the posters on oc were of little help, this is why i am asking here. The people on here seem to have more knowledge. I am a complete novice when it comes to electrical devices, so i have to ask others who may know better. I have read the instructions on the sellers ad, but i am still not sure about this. I have now called the advertiser and got the info that i needed.

Ok, just for future reference, i bought the key from fleabay, did the 3 times on/off and 3 times open/close door. It worked, but to start the car you need to get the transponder coded. £20 at my localish auto electricians. Job done.
