P 0113 and P 0172 Fault Codes

Postby Mike Clack » Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:20 pm

My 1.6 mk2.5 has been running erratically recently:

Revs suddenly dropping and then recovering. Strong unburned fuel smell from exhaust - and a bit smokey (not oil).

OBD diagnosis is:
P0113 - Air intake temp circuit too high
P0172 - System too rich

Any solution ideas?

Is she running lumby, ?sounds like it could be spark plug,HT lead or coil pack, check for any furring in the coil pack pots or on the HT lead it self.

Thanks very much. I'll check out those ignition parts.
It is running lumpy - sporadically.
