Goodridge brake hose rub slightly - any tips?

Postby Creepy » Wed Apr 04, 2018 2:33 pm

Hello...wondering if anyone has some simple advice/tips regarding recently fitted Goodridge braided brake hoses fitted to my MK5 Mk1. Essentially one side rubs very slightly against the tyre when in the fully locked position (i..e tight turning). I'm fairly sure I need to undo the hose and refit so it naturally bends the opposite way when the wheel is turned (i.e. Away from the tyre/wheel like the other side seem to do) I can confirm the hose is aligned to the hub/calliper in the correct position (even though there are no locking/positioning nodules on the Goodridge hoses - which were on the original hoses).

If anyone has any tricks/tips how I can do this without removing the entire hose (and bleeding the brakes again) that would be great. Obviously i do not want to twist or force the braided cable and risk damaging.
P.S. I thought I spotted a similar thread somewhere but can't for the life of me find it!

Thanks in advance.
Andy.

Yeap it is bending the wrong way buddy, you need to crack it at the caliper and re-position it.
