2002 1.6 mx5 non runner Blackpool

Postby essjaydee » Sun Jan 10, 2016 10:22 am

I have owned and run this for last 2 years. Other than a brake caliper and clutch cylinder its always run great and been used daily.
I got another car, so this was sat on the drive in december and not used. I went to check it over and the alternator had siezed stripping the belt. Freed it up, changed the belt and then it wouldn't start! Water has got into the passenger footwell and the ecu was sat in a puddle!

I need to get rid of the car, so am open to any offers to take it away. Other than some rust on the rear wheel arches and under the sills, the car is in excellent condition. Its done 110,000 miles. MOT expires next month.

I have been offered £300 for it.

Car is in Blackpool.

Anyone interested, then give me a call.

Sean

Well it is still sat on my driveway!
Dried the ECU and footwell out now, but car still won't start, so it has probably fried the ECU. I am not prepared to spend any money on it, so it has got to go.
A certain well known car buyer web service have now offered me £255 for it, so will probably end up doing this.

If anyone wants it for £250, buyer collects, then it's yours. It's located near to Blackpool Airport.
