1995 eunos roadster 1.8. Bedfordshire £1500

Postby jonXS » Thu Jul 14, 2016 3:03 pm

it is with an extremely heavy heart that i have had to come to the decision to sell my roadster

genuine reason for why I'm selling it, i am sick and have been for around 8-9 months. i cannot get in and out of her as easily as i used to due to the constant aches/pain I'm in.. I'm only 29 :\  so ive purchased my self a Mercedes power-barge, anyway back to the car.

Car: mazda mx5/eunos roadster import
Year: 1995
Mileage: 141553 (KMH)
M.O.T: 8th jan 2017
now to the pictures, its what we all want eh?

location: Houghton Regis, Dunstable

the car was imported to the country in 2000 i believe, its had 3 owners in the uk (one being my dad, when i bought it i had to get it in his name due to insurance purposes)
had the radiator and coolant changed July last year at a reputable local specialist. along with the head gasket, rocker gasket, timing belt, waterpump and engine and gearbox oil which i done myself.
the offside rear sill inner and outer replaced in November 2014 at the same specialist
also replaced the old tired oe suspension with a set of Meister r Coilovers, which have transformed the car more. there is a 'weapon' strut brace fitted i also have style bar made by the same place but never got around to fitting.
the mohair roof was replaced in 2009 by the previous owner. the original steering wheel was replaced with a dished wheel as i found it more comfortable due to being over 6ft, if the buyer wants the original i can supply that too.
door speakers upgraded to a set of vibes, makes the music much better when you turn it on.
has a set of s800 mirrors fitted, they're small but very cool. used to call them the vanity mirrors.
oh did i mention its got pop up lights [http://images] [http://images] [http://images]
comes with leather tonneau cover aswell
the car is not perfect, there is dings here and there and some scratches. but its 22 years young
the front wings could do with being repainted as the paint has reacted, along with the front nose piece. thats only if you want to make it mint.
gearchange into 2nd gear is occasionally stiff, could be the turret oil requiring replacing.
local kids have snapped the aerial off [http://images] so that'll also need replacing.
front calipers are beginning to seize up, however i have purchased a pair of remanufactured ones to be fitted. i will try if i am well enough to do it otherwise the will come with the sale of the car.
the mohair roof doesnt leak, but there is a few scuff marks on it from upening at shutting it.

Price: £1500 and will come with a black hard top, that's painted in black plastidip and a spare set of wheels and tyres (in need of a refurb) oil filter and a pack of mohair roof treatment thats not even used yet

many thanks guys. i don't want to sell it but the time has come and its taking up space on my friends driveway

Hi Jon,

I am extremely interesting in this, having been after one for a good 4/5 months now!

I'm not to far away either in Buckinghamshire.

How can I contact you to just ask a few questions and hopefully arrange to view the car!

Your Email / Phone number would be great. If you would like to text me directly, my number is ///////////. (phone number removed by M-m)

Many thanks,

Tom

Just too far away for me, she looks spot on though.

Make someone a nice tidy roadster.

1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)

Thank you, I do try my best. Its killing me having to sell the car, I do love it :(
As long as I can get passenger rides sometimes in one. It should hopefully be all good.

Saves me the hassle of making that decision, to buy or not to buy??

What I really want is my old 2.5 SVT back, so that's the next quest, to find one in as good a condition as she was and with lowish miles!!!!

Then to find a way to tell the wife!!!

1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
