I’ve decided to sell my Mx5 Eunos as I’ve purchased a motor home and can’t justify keeping her plus my daily drive.
She’s a G-ltd, in satellite blue, has covered 157,000km (90 odd thousand miles) needs nothing doing to her other than to be loved, driven and maintained.

This lovely 1995 Mazda Eunos G-Ltd 1.8 automatic has been thoroughly renovated by Wayne of Mazdamenders fame. To say that this was comprehensive would be an understatement and the attention to detail is quite incredible. Wayne is well known in Mazda circles for his incredible renovations and he wrote a comprehensive blog about this car on the Mazdamenders website. The car also appeared on the MX5 Owner’s Club stand at the NEC in March 2019.
Finished in Satellite Blue with blue suede-like seats and black trim, this is 1 of just 1500 G-Ltds ever produced. This one is in superb condition and has covered around 98000 miles.
Here’s a few highlights of the work carried out over the last 4 years or so:
New rear sill sections (done properly).
Mk2 suspension fitted with new drop links and correct wheel alignment.
Headlight upgrade
Replacement cambelt, tensioners, water pump and auxiliary belts fitted.
New CAS O-Ring, camshaft oil seals, cam cover gasket and crankshaft seal.
Full service: new plugs, plug leads, oil, anti-freeze, dif and gearbox fluids.
Battery area in boot completely renovated.
Most of the interior replaced with correct G-Ltd items ( seats, steering wheel, carpet mat door trim etc).
New Sony stereo and speakers.
Blue mohair MK2 roof fitted with replacement rain rail.
Full brake rebuild.
New roof drainage tubes along with new door weather strips, new number plates, new mudflaps.
Full cavity and underside wax – probably the most comprehensive I have ever seen.

Mechanically its in pretty standard form with no daft exhausts or air intakes and as a result, it drives just beautifully; the idea was to produce a car that drives really well and this could easily be used every day or just for weekend fun. It’s a complete blast to drive with strong performance. The automatic gearbox works so well in the bigger 1.8 engined cars with a smooth change and when you floor the accelerator, it really gets up and goes.
Specification is excellent and includes electric windows, power steering, an immobilizer, 14” genuine Mazda alloy wheels, Momo leather rimmed steering wheel, rare genuine Mazda blue striped carpet mats, leather gaiters for gear selector and handbrake, stainless steel door speaker surrounds and chrome door mirrors.
Its in way better condition than most MX5s out there and of course there is no rust anywhere. It really needs to be viewed to appreciate the attention to detail and driving experience. Its MOT tested until May 2024 and price is £5999.
Comes with tonneau cover, original mats and trombone cleaner.
Can be viewed in Stanway, Colchester, no time wasters, tyre kickers or dreamers.
