Enabling / Disabling Daylight Saving Time

Postby agent_orange » Wed Oct 30, 2013 1:03 pm

The forum software can provide you with a time that is local to you. Most users will live in a region where Day Light Saving Time takes effect.

Unfortunately, the forum software cannot automatically adjust this. This is something you will have to enable manually for summer, then disable for winter.

Heres how to do it:

1. If you have not already logged in, please do so.

2. Now go to the "User Control Panel" (gear shaped icon, top right hand corner)

3. Now got to "Board Preferences" (left hand side, below Announcements)

4. You will now see a variety of personal options. We want to change "Summer Time/DST is in effect".
To clarify: "Yes" will set your clock 1 hour forward (summer), "No" will set your clock 1 hour back (winter)

5.(Optional) Now that you are here it is probably worth ensuring that you have set the correct time zone and date format.

Hope this helps, any queries? Feel free to PM me :handgestures-thumbup:
