Did he put all the rods back into their plastic knuckle hinges, or has one popped back out? on the lock and mechanism inside the door.

Either the little spring in the door mechanism has become unhooked or broken, b*ggers own job to replace resulting in much lost skin, bad language & you need multi jointed fingers with the strength of tarzan that are 12" long, I have just done a neighbours drivers door lock so am suffering as a result, next time it goes up to Mazdaman, Bicester for him to do, Paul H.

Thank you Paul, he has been and taken off the door card and had a poke around ,and it was indeed a broken spring on the latch mechanism, new one fitted and the lock works as it should again, happy days.
