MOT - failed on Ball Joint Rubbers

Postby MrChrome » Sat Oct 27, 2012 8:01 pm

One of Pete's cars has just failed an MOT.

The failure sheet say Upper and Lower Ball Joint Rubber split. He's been told that he can't by the rubbers and will have to buy the new wishbones for the top rubbers and new ball joints for the bottom. The cost is over £500.

Does anyone know if you can just replace the rubbers without buying all the other bits?

Does he know if the upper wishbones are after market or OE ones?

Will they also fit on the aftermarket top wishbones?
