Pete's MK 2/2.5 heater blower is not working( no speeds)

Catastrophic Chris is a real MX5/Roadster enthusiast and as such owns all version of the car. He's also incredibly unlucky with his cars which suffer from just about every ailment we have come across (and a few we haven't - yet). take a new power lead to the heater and see if it powers up, seems no continuity on the main power line to the heater.

He as tested the one that was in and the new(s/hand ) one and they both work fine.

But wants to find the fault,his skill level does not go as far to rewiring and there is no funds for a Auto spark, is there nothing else that it could be?

can only think loose connection in the plug which plugs into the heater unit, it supplies the power. check for loose connections there, did think of soldered connections at the switch end but you say he checked them and were ok presumably on the bench?

He says Switch has been tested and all connections are solid and all the way home.

must be something mysterious the heaters work but no power to them in the car, fuse box and all connections ok,
so somwhere theres a power loss, i cant think either.
go on wayne enlighten us.

saw the dotted line but somehow missed the word relay,
i never knew the heater was controlled by a relay.but now i do, good test :clap:
