Worth clearing out your cache and temporary internet files from your browser.

mazda-mender.co.uk & mazda-mender.com are just pointing to the new server. Which means that the links in your address bar on your browser will always remain the same. However, (depending which browser you are using) if you hover over a link, you should see the "true" link. Another way of doing this is right click on the link and select "Copy Link Location"

mazdamenders.net is configured to the new server, so you will always see the "true" full link in your address bar.

Hope this is making sense.

Ok email alerts I will look into. Suspect thats a hang over from old site.

As for keeping you logged in, could you give more details please. It will ofcourse log you out eventually. I need to know:

*What address you are using (mazdamenders.net, mazda-mender.co.uk etc)
*How long can you stay logged on
*What browser
*anything else that could be usefull.

Well after a couple of days just getting a 404 error, probably because my link went straight to the forum (/mm) and getting the same from the link on the Autolink link page, I finally managed to find the new site by Googling mazda mender-a bit risky I know. :-D

I had to do a password re-set to get in and I have the same problem as the Captain in that I have to log in every time.

I think the link from the Autolink page is still giving a 404

I have now re-set my link to mazda-mender.co.uk/forum

I am using Firefox 13.01

Ok I have sorted the problem with the email server, so subscriptions should be working, but it might be worth re-suscribing just in case.

Persistant logins should be working now, but again, please tick on the "Keep me logged in" option next time you sign in.

Now as for the site address not working, that is mystifying me, I have never seen any of the addresses not working. I will dig into this, but please remember that the old addresses (mazda-mender.co.uk & mazda-mender.com) are working like diversion road signs at the moment. So I highly HIGHLY that mazdamenders.net is used from now on.

Think I will be sending out a mass email to make sure everyone is all good.

hey Colin,

Sorry I think I created some confusion. Only if you are having problems accessing the site should you need to delete cookies and temp internet files etc.

For persistent logins, you will need your cookies in place (thats how the site knows who you are).

So in your case, it seems the site is loading fine, so dont delete any more cookies :)

One other thing about persistent logins, this only works on a single machine basis. E.g. if you setup persistent login on your home pc, you will have to set it up again on your work pc if you want it to work there too.

Hope this all helps.

Looks like it's still not working, for me anyway.

Open Firefox
Click link to http://www.mazdamenders.net/forum
Login - choosing Keep me logged in
Close Firefox
Open Firefox
Click link to http://www.mazdamenders.net/forum
Not logged in.

It's not really that much bother for me as Firefox remembers my username & password so it's only 2 extra clicks.
