Re: Mission Motorsport
Me dunnit.
Croft was bloody slippy..which meant advantage Autobox. Just locked it in S, press hold..and hey presto a 2 speeder that would not snatch up a gear mid wet bend. It was a track day of course, not a race, but there was shall I say safe and friendly competition.
I was in the Novice group, but there were Experienced trackers in the group who were late applicants and the Novice group was all that was left...so I had to watch the mirrors like a hawk. 3 cars went off in the morning in this group, including Rodder's racing Mk3.5...which eventually had a big off later and stoved the rear end in a bit. He was not driving.
I had one "off" during the day when we clipped wet leaves( spectacular 180 in a cloud of tyre smoke I may add) but apart from that it was fine and the car held up no worries.
I'm thinking next year of getting a solid shitter and getting it stripped & track prepared..to a degree.
The Auto managed to keep up no problem with more powerful cars with LSD's..which seemed to have issues putting their power down. I found the open diff was better insofar one rear wheel stayed planted until the slipping wheel, usually the offside, bit..acting as a safety valve. Suprised a few people in the pit lane and one up for the Auto's

Nope,
Got a supposed "tested" pack from a certain supplier, and it turned out worse than mine.
Stripped out the CP on the Thursday when I ought to have been on the road down, cleaned it up as best I could, and it worked sufficiently...but I kept spare bits on board. It was all too prayer & a hope for my comfort but the old feller soldiered on.
