Changing a tail light/stop light bulb

Postby altruistic1964 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:48 pm

I know this might this might seem a rather trivial (and very easy job) for those that are mechanically minded, but I actually managed to change the bulb on my own - I was rather pleased with myself to be honest!

I keep meaning to join an evening class that did car maintenance but have never got round to it but I think I would like to learn more.

Regards
David

Changing a tail light/stop light bulb

I agree with Flea - we all have to start somewhere and what you've done today is something that loads of people get others to do so you are rightly proud to have done it yourself. Today it's a bulb - gradually with patience and some good advice you'll be servicing and doing all sorts of jobs. That's one of the aims of this forum and the FAQs we'll all posting up.

Your on your way Dave, to being a Mazda-mender :D

Agreed
I will at some point be doing some tech days here,so i'll let you know as and when , should be of interest for local owners to learn.
But anything you are unsure of ,just ask Dave, no one will think any less of you for doing so buddy

Thanks to all for the support. I would certainly be up for attending a Tech day. Maybe the tech days could be written up in some way and then they can be put on the forum for other people to view. Happy to help you out there Wayne if need be with any typing up of notes, etc.

Cheers.

We all have to start somewhere, I enjoy guddling with the car and managed to work up to the Timing belt job, which I really enjoyed doing and the satisfaction it brought when she started again!.
though I still feel a novice when it comes to some really simple jobs.

Nice one David. I was a total novice before we got our first MX5, but with the enthusiasm and help from mates I have learned to do an awful lot on the cars and am prepared to tackle most jobs.

Next on my list:

Fit new hood
Refurb wheels
remove AC

I will have some help though :D
