Mk1 crushed box section

This is the section to see what is hidding behind those panels, and how to get rid of the tin worm, cutting out and welding in fresh metal, protection and paint.

Mk1 crushed box section

Postby tricky2502 » Sat Jan 24, 2015 1:03 pm

I have a 1996 mk1 with good sills etc but have just noticed the inner box section has been crushed most probably by incorrect jacking at some point. Is this likely to cause problems for MOT etc. the metal does seem very solid all around as it is all well protected by waxoyl

Shouldn't affect the Mot, my 1993 inner box sections are well squashed and passes okay.
