Waxoil

This is the section to see what is hidding behind those panels, and how to get rid of the tin worm, cutting out and welding in fresh metal, protection and paint.

Waxoil

Postby Kenny H » Sun Jul 04, 2021 3:59 pm

Hi. I have a mk 2.5 mx5 and have just joined the forum.
My car is in need of a few minor bodywork repairs and it also needs waxoiling. I have booked my car into an MX5 specialist in Wigan, who I've used before, to address the bodywork issues. They told me they no longer do waxoiling - I explained I was looking for an MX5 specialist to do the waxoiling as I'd like to ensure a proper job is done. They recommended Wayne at Mazda Menders and told me about this forum. I'm hoping Wayne sees this message and can advise if this is something he can help with.
Thanks,
Kenny.

Morning.
I guess you mean Mr Pemb for the fabrication work?
I would need to see her to access her really, it is not a weekends work regardless of the condition underneath, and if i feel that it will suck more than two weeks from the time i give , i will not offer to do it but will recommend somewhere else, as the process is not an easy or quick one now because of the age of the Roadsters, but i do not and never will use waxoil never ever, nasty horrid stuff, and there is a long waiting list for my help as i move into just full build renovations, and a selective list of owners to sort out for my help , i am at the moment prioritizing who is in need of the help first, like the lady who's mx will not start and as been so since last summer which contacted me , a lady with a MK 1 that needs fresh rear suspension for MOT, a chap that needs a number of things for MOT , which come first before the two undersealing/cavity wax roadster sat waiting for me, but the MK 1 that needs a New water pump, timming belt etc will also come first, so they will always take preference over running cars , undersealing/cavity wax is a priority over cosmetics, services will also take a priority, and the full renovations will take a very high priority .
So owners will be shoved and moved around as the case maybe at short notice if a MOT fail needs addressing for someone to be able to carry on enjoying their roadster.
This is solely because of my time as i only have so much.

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and for explaining how busy you are and your priorities. I would appreciate it if you could assess my car and recommend someone else to do the work if you won't have the time yourself. I can bring the car to you whenever is convenient for you.
Thanks,
Kenny.
