Welder....

Postby Mazda Mender » Fri Dec 16, 2022 8:48 am

I was looking for a new welder and wanted a semi auto one , which basically means that you just input all the info on the screen that you are using and press enter , which then calculates it all for you and you just need to crack on with the bacon noise, but they were a dear bit of kit going into the £k's, but then after a bit of searching i fell across one that was not to dear and was a semi auto unit and also a smart multi welder, smart which means it can also be used to weld in different ways IE:-
Mig without gas ( using gas less core wire)
Mig with gas for steel/stainless and ally?
Spool gun
Tig
stick (arc)
But i had never heard of the make and was 100% a Chinese machine , plus every time i looked at the name i always added a S to the beginning in my mind which did not help...
I found a video on line which was not a promo vid and was being put through its paces with everything it could do with different thicknesses, speeds materials etc , which then sold the idea of getting one ordered

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=text31UiS7U

so we did a group buy to get cost down even more and ordered one, now i have always had the frame of mind that someone that works on many cars as a wide knowledge of how cars in general work but is not a master of any, same principle applies here to me, if it can do as much as it claims then it must not be great in them all but ok in them all and not great in any particular one, if that makes sense , so i was skeptical .
There were many different options on buying the machine and they got dearer the more you ticked, we went for the machine with mig ,tig and stick attachments, I also bought the alloy spool gun extra for further down the line to have a play with alloy welding, and it worked out at £317.00 delivered without the spool gun, which seemed to good to be true, as the clarkes one i have was dearer than that and no where near as good.

I spoke to the lads that are professional welders about it and when it turns up will they give it a huge thura test for me and tell me what they think. I got a reel of s/steel none flux wire ( as that is what they weld up all day high end S/Steel) to test with.

It arrived two days later and like a kid at xmas ripped the box open to set it up for test, so far so good , I had not needed to refer to the instruction book and sussed it all out, took it around to the lads, connected up the argon(For stainless) and tried it with mig with .8 and different thicknesses of steel trying it myself, just wow , so then set up the tig and give that a good testing again ,just wow , it is everything it says, the welder guys were knocked over when told them the cost and they could not believe it was so cheap yet that good and a multi welder, are as they said " its a numpty welder and its sh*t hot, tidy bit of kit that and takes a lot of guess work out" i am really chuffed and really impressed with it.
So I thought I would share my findings with everyone,as we get into the stages of stopping the rot and keeping your costs down, this is a great welder for a beginner and pro because of how easy it is to program to use...
This is the listing we ordered , which seems to of gone up in price now already....

Why should choose SYN MIG200 PRO welder?

✔️Large-screen LCD display, intuitive and detailed understanding of welding parameters, making work easier, MCU control system, responds immediately to any changes.

✔️It can be matched with spool welding gun, fast drawing welding, and improving welding efficiency.

✔️The Welder uses the average current control mode, and have general protection functions, for example the limited overshoot, the limit of the pulse width, overvoltage, over-current, over-heating and so on. Those functions obviously improve the stability and security of the welding machine.

✔️It will automatically enter the standby state if no load time exceeds three minutes, reducing power consumption.

✔️ways welding parameters to use SYN-MIG200 Pro, 1-Semi-automatic welding. 2-MIG MAG-Manual adjustment method liked by professional welders.

✔️Range of weldable metals: iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum silicon, aluminum magnesium, copper silicon, copper magnesium and other metals. It is suitable for pipe fitting, mold repair, petrochemical industry, building decoration, car repair, bicycle, handicraft and general manufacturing.

✔️Can make the aluminum profile thin plate not deformed, the thick plate has a high degree of fusion, and the weld seam is beautifully formed and the welding point is not black after the porosity welding.

✔️Unique 2T, 4T function.
When you use the 2T function, use the welding torch to lightly touch the switch to weld.
When you use the 4T function, you can press the torch switch, you can continue welding, you don’t need to hold the switch all the time, just press the switch to end the welding.
