Mk1/2 Fault Code Reader Tool

Come and see what our Jon is up to, with his electric gizmos that his mind and hands mould into magic little boxes of tricks, he gets bored very easily, so if you have an idea that you can throw at him, all the better for him to play with ;0)

Mk1/2 Fault Code Reader Tool

Postby binarypunk » Mon Jun 17, 2013 1:22 pm

This is the original and still by far the most popular binarypunk product out there...

If you currently fiddle around with an LED and a paperclip, you don't know what you're missing. This tool is bright and easy to see, rugged with soldered connections and heatshrink reinforcement, is easy to use with the correct connectors for the diagnostic box pins - a perfect tool for your toolbox, especially if you work on Mk1/2 cars on a regular basis.

I have just finished a major revamp and (aside from some boring internal changes to meet the latest EU demands) it now features:

- Fault Code translations for Mk1 and Mk2 cars
- Switch Test procedures
- Fan and fuel pump test procedures
- Base Idle and Base Timing setting procedures
- All on a laminated card so you can wipe off your oily fingerprints
- Who needs OBD??

You'll be pleased to know that it also has a CE Mark and is RoHS compliant so that you can be sure that you and the polar bears are entirely safe from harm (providing you follow the instructions and don't use it for testing wall sockets or some such!)

Wayne will be receiving a handful of these shortly to use himself, and also to hand out as he sees fit. Please watch this space for his opinions on using this tool day-in-day-out.

As with all of my products, you can find further details on my website, and purchase from Autolink.
