I have recently acquired a 1.8 NA fitted with an Eaton Charger, intercooler, MS2 the lot. I noticed that the engine breather is still using the standard PCV but the cam box and inlet are fitted with mini filters. Is this correct or should the PCV be venting into a catch can? If so has anyone got the full plumbing instructions from something that works for them please?

Neil one of the Menders posted up on our Facebook page over the weekend, pretty much the same thing;

Just as a follow up for those with throttle bodies or boosted engines.
The pcv is a valve in the rocker cover outlet designed to let gasses escape the engine and be sucked into the inlet manifold and be burnt. Boosted and itb engines will not have the inlet Vacuum like a standard engine. This is why they run into an oil catch tank to let the engine breath to atmosphere safely and cleanly.
If you are running a catch tank then you need to modify the pcv and remove its internals. This allows greater flow of crank case gases from the engine and less pressure to build up inside. Therfore less oil leaks externally and more efficient piston rings.
It's a simple modification but one not to forget.

Mine just has a small filter on the breather that used to feed into the inlet. Never had a problem.
