Have you got mx5/Roadster items that you no longer need hanging around taking up space, but there is something you are after and want for your pride and joy? Then try the swap shop. You would be amazed at just what fellow owners can hord that they do not need any more but are saving them.

Mine were fitted with stainless self tapping screws with like a nylon peg but also had some sort of seam sealer on them too. I only know this as i did remove them when the boot was re sprayed some years back.

That as been fitted later Royster, the OE ones use the rivet nut system http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/r ... heavy-duty.

Could be them mate. I could only see the top bit where the screw went in ?

It seems it's easier to buy a lid with the rack fitted than mess about drilling mine.
I have seen one on eBay which the seller won't post but it just so happens my brother lives a few minutes up the road.
I've sent him a grovelling text.......awaiting a reply.
