The biggest problem you have here is that there is to many people sat around with nothing better to do with there time than have a moan, and some jobs worth with a badge as waved his stick and bang a piece of paper on the door because he can and gets a buzz for power.
If it as been up and running for 50 years then they knew that it was there before they bought their homes, their choice at the end of the day ,and i am sure that the extra cash coming into that area if it does shut will make a big dent.
They knew what they were buying, i do get not every weekend for a bit of a chill, but there are far worse places than this to live, what about next to airports, they knew what they were buying and deal with it,,,,moaners with nothing else better to do with there time but have a wingh and it makes the feel good and important
There is a name for this breed.....jobs worths.

As I understand it, the circuit had been given permission in 1985 for 44 days of racing per year, but their rent has gone up so they wanted to do more, but have been refused permission...so they just went ahead anyway and have been taken to court for breach of planning permission, not by any jobsworths.

Now that their rent has gone up and they can't put on more racing, they say they can't make any money so they are folding.

Looks a balanced report to me, with both sides given consideration. It's a shame a middle ground could not be found.

Think about that jobs worth ,that as nothing better to do with their time as been sat there for a full year counting the track days, okay they have gone past what was agreed, this as started because of moaners and jobs worths, that bought a house near a track, there would of been a search done and a report given before any money changed hands , remember it is not a new track it as been going for 50 years, so locals are aware of it and i am sure most have grown up around it.
I am sure that sitting down around a table can sort this all out because of the factures in all areas, but i am sure that the jobs worth will not give way because they think they are winning something and getting a worm glow and a fuzzy feeling in the pants departnent, because they have nothing else better to do with there time than pick out a few weeds and drive down to the local asda in their little nissan at 20 MPH

Just found this thread, I actually have a six inch plate in my arm courtesy of that track! I love the place not even aware of this, has it been saved?
