Hooligan youth!
Loading some pics of our MX5's i found this. Happy days from back in the early 90's low flying across a dutch field in my much missed 2.8i
Re: Hooligan youth!
Don't set me off, all those Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts we spent hours on to only rag them to death and quite often, end up killing them one way or another.
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)

Re: Hooligan youth!
I love the mk1 Escort, especially the two door models. Luckily my dad is passing this on to me (and my 10 year old son already knows it's going to him after me!)
Just 56k miles on the clock and all original. Trouble is, it's his legacy which means i can't sell it to fund another 2.8i as that would just be wrong. I love the old Ford's and if the lotto came up i'd have a lot of them ...and MX5's of course ...then there would be the 'Stang GT350, the E Type, and the silver birch DB5...
As Tracey is a total petrolhead it's fair to say our garage would be bigger than the house!

Just want another Mk2 RS2000 (yeah I know rose tinted glasses and all that)
Oh and another MX5 Mk2.5 SVT sport, and another 1.8 Mk1 Eunos and !!!!!!!!

Re: Hooligan youth!
Looks like a Cortina, had an 1800e mk2 once in between the Escorts.
As for still owning an RS2000, sold mine to raise cash to get married, good news is I am still married so it wasn't all bad??
Then you look at what good solid unmolested versions are making these days!!!

Granada?
Not owned many Fords as i was a Vauxhall Motors time served apprentice, although i have a Focus daily now lol. Think i`ve had a Granada estate & an Escort & that`s about it in 42 years of driving.
Never owned a Capri either but when we were 17 my mate would borrow his dads so we could drive from Luton to Birmingham at weekends for the night clubs after he met a Birmingham lass on holiday. Took us about an hour door to door, apart from the time we missed the M6 turn off in the fog lol.........................Happy days!!!

Re: Hooligan youth!
I had a Mk1 Fiesta XR2, funnily enough I watched Wheeler Dealers this morning while having breakfast doing one up. Loved that car but went through a phase of Astra GTE / Kadett GSi after that but did have a Capri 3 3.0S. Then much later I had a Escort (I think Mk5/6) XR3i Convertible .
Would love a Mk1 Capri 3.0.

It had to have been a Mini, fitted with twin carbs from the scrappy. I remember that FORD used to stand for Fix Or Repair Daily.
