Suffolk mazda/Retro and modern, a very poor service......

Postby Mazda Mender » Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:31 am

I am sorry, but I feel the need to say something that I feel is bad service from an mx5 specialist here in the uk... I have personally hit this twice with them now. Items bought that have arrived with bits missing, that are needed (with the items) for fitting. Yet, they seem to do this as a norm, and don't see that the items missing should come with them; as I know many many part suppliers that deal with new and s/hand items that as the norm would send items complete for use...

They seem to be very plasé about the issues. Directing it to the customer buying the items, insulting and insinuating the fault is your own! A lot of assuming... Just like the last items purchased from them.

This time through the bay of e, they have offered a refund! But, they want me to pay the return postage!? Which I am not willing to do. I can see the lack of care and attention with removing these items; the lack of quality control regardless of s/hand items... but they'll push the "best of the best" in the scene...

If I had known that these items through the bay of e was from this seller (as it was a link sent to me) I honestly would not have given them my money and time of day after the last dealings with them..

So this is a massive heads up and warning. That if you purchase, or are thinking of giving them your hard earned, so their Co can continue running "for the greater good", and lets be honest, paying the Co owners bills and wages to live... make sure you ask questions about the items and lots of them... because, what you would assume would arrive, and should arrive, might not with everything it really should do.

You'll get a cop out answer when querying with the Co in question being... which is Suffolk mazda or retro and modern owned by David Payne, and the shop floor man David Lynch...

Now, I am mentioning this so that others do not hit this issue with them. I am sure plenty are happy customers?...but, if it has happened to me. It will happen to others, or may already have done...Which i am now finding out there are a few very disgruntled customers also on a range of issues....... lets hope they tighten it up....

I'm really glad it's not just me.

I ordered a set of clocks from them a few years back to sort a project out.

They didnt arrive. So I chased them up and basically got accused of trying it on and they had been signed for by a name I didn't recognise. On a hunch I went door knocking and eventually found them.

Opened them up and the glass was smashed, with missing bits, which weren't inside the sealed package. Suggesting they had been packed broken.

Complained again and eventually either got another set sent out or a refund can't remember which but I felt all the way though I was in the wrong and everything was a hassle for them. Ironically when I left negative feedback to that effect their reply was that I was the problem and I was blocked from bidding with them again..... There wasn't much chance of that anyway.
