Re: '90 mk1 vspec - leak around window / door seal
Hey M-M Excuse the late response - new job and busy weekends! I thought I had a decent amount of pics of this, but it appears not - I'm going to have to take some more. This has a brand new OEM seal on - if you zoom in, you can see beads of water on the inside of the panel lip which follow the line ...

Re: '90 mk1 vspec - leak around window / door seal
Hey M-M, The windscreen frame header seal (runs up the a-pillar across the top of the windscreen and down the other a-pillar) has been replaced with one from a later mk2.5 which didnt leak, which resulted in the same issue - is there any appreciable difference in the mk1 vs mk2.5 header seals? Your ...

Re: '90 mk1 vspec - leak around window / door seal
Hi MM, Its definitely not coming in from the drainage tubes / rain rail at the back - these were all stripped out, cleaned and replaced, and flushed with water to ensure the drainage tubes were emptying correctly. The rain rail was replaced with a new one. I can see water on the inside of the seal a...

'90 mk1 vspec - leak around window / door seal
Hi All, I'm hoping that someone has seen this before and can suggest something before I pull my hair out. My wife picked up a mk1 eunos vspec at the back end of last year in the need of some much needed TLC. We tried to buy it a couple of years back but the guy wanted too much, and when I saw it was...

Re: mk 2.5 immobiliser / standalone ECU advice
Thats exactly what my plan was - ive actually been looking for harness extenders so i dont have to chop the loom. my only thought on it is that after going through the 2.5 wiring diagrams, there is only a single input from the immobilizer to the ecu itself, and fuel and spark are affected by the imm...

Re: mk 2.5 immobiliser / standalone ECU advice
Hi Lazza, Pretty certain im going to be having a play about with the new ME221 i think. The guys developing seem to be pretty good, ive had some good info and feedback from them already about my plans too. Plus i like the fact it can control vvt all in the same unit, and it has built in autotune / l...

mk 2.5 immobiliser / standalone ECU advice
Hi all, I'm after a little advice really - I am looking at running a parallel ECU in conjunction with my stock unit, purely in order to keep some of the immobilization features of the stock ECU. Now - I'm not completely sure what components the Immobilizer controls via the ECU, but at a guess I woul...

Re: Anyone in the South East / Rochester area
Unfortunately not - the one Roy went to see was rotting at the front rails, and I missed a rust free one as I thought it was a little overpriced for a non sport model. After seeing 10 or 12 in the past 2 weeks, I'm getting a little jaded at the state of the 2.5's I have to admit. Got my eye on a cou...

Re: Anyone in the South East / Rochester area
Just wanted to drop a line here to say a massive thanks to Flea / Roy. He has been incredibly flexible and popped to see an mx for me yesterday, giving me all the info I was wanting, I couldnt have asked for anything more. Was also nice to have a chat to a fellow member, and one that clearly knows h...

Re: Breaking Mk2.5 Phoenix
Hi Both, Groundhugger - that shouldnt be a problem for the harness, as I'm looking at replacements with heated seats. How urgently are you in need of it? I only ask as I want to get my new one sorted, and figure out which bits I need to take across from my current one. Blackyb - You may be in luck, ...

Flea, you little legend, thank you very much!
I'll have a word with the gent in question and see when he's free. I know that he works 4 on / 4off, so It will probably be later on next week.

Anyone in the South East / Rochester area
Hi Guys,
So, I'm looking around at new mx's, and considering all but one of those I have seen recently has been a rot box, I've extended my search.
Are there MM members that would be willing to look at a mk2.5 over in Rochester for me?
Dale
