Look there is no rush, take your time , no master pieces were done over night...I have five builds on the go.. personally...3 need to be finished for summer for sale and the others are mine for me which are taking a backe burner to be finished this year..I am also looking for a white MK1 to restore...

Trying to plod on, but the more I do, the more holes I find, im really struggling, I'm out my depth with all this to be honest.. cutting things out is easy, putting back in is a nightmare! And that's the replacement panels, I need to some how make the rear inner sill section and replace jacking poin...

i will admit i want to put the Mrs's back to factor spec so i will need the wooden wheel and gear knob, we will see about daisy's, the Mrs likes the TSW stealths that are fitted! at least they are the right era!

Sorry to disappoint but no real update this weekend. Im trying to balance house renovation with the unexpected MX5 surgery, time is not on my side!! Great work as always Lump Hammer, we are very much in the same position with the floor to sills panel, i cleaned mine up at the weekend to see how bad they are, the front jacking point looks fine, just surface rust, but the rear is shot! like you i never jack on the sills on any car (scares me!) but...

You can get into the hidden areas if you drill holes in different places to gain access. In saying that you can put a wand in there and blow in cavity wax. You in a lot of cases cannot grind in there to remove rust. The weld through primer does it's best to protect the panels. Now Bilthamber Dynax ...
