Greetings and welcome to menders, this site was built for every owner that might need her to help keep those bills low and also keep them on the road where they belong, she is run by very passionate enthusiasts owners for passionate enthusiastic owners, see her like a on line garage, there is a lot of tech stuff hopefully explained for everyone to use, if there is something you cannot get your head around, or you feel that there is a strong walk through guide missing that needs creating by one of us or from yourselves, please let us know, we are also on false book and youtube, which as short tech vids to help, and again if you feel there is a vid that would help please get it touch.

Cheers for links Andrew its an early mk1 if that makes a difference. Aye Wayne I'm hands on but my garage is small so car up and wheels off is not good in there and the weather is bad so cannot do it outside. I was hoping to be able to sort this with possibly just pulling the radiator out for access...

No it is not the same size as the brake pipe, and it is best to raise the front of the roadster to do this, it is a messy fiddly job., it would be far easier and cheaper the bypass it.if you are never going to take her around track then you will be more than OK . Power Steering

got a leak on my PS system and it appears to be the tank end of the cooling pipe.
Anyone know how I can get this pipe out? preferably without lifting the car.

Lazza when I filed my pads I filed the outer edges that move along the shiny sliders not the pad faces, the pads were not fouling the discs they were just tight so much so I had to mallet them in.
Next pad change I will just file the recess in the callipers as Wayne suggests.

Well today I cleaned out the slider pin holes and applied the red rubber grease to the pins and its made a big difference
My brakes are now functioning correctly :)
