Owners that are having problem's on the MK 1/2/2.5's with the chrome fuel lids staying shut/not popping up when the release cable button is used. This is an easy fix, with can be sorted in less than 5 minutes.
Nip down to your local "Halfords" and grab a tin of their own branded silicon...

Some one asked on here for this , sorry it's late, stands to reason that the door card will need removing first, and side window glass up to the top, there is a how to on how to do this on the board for ref if needed, hope it helps ;0)

For those Mk 2/2.5 owners with wiper linkage problems, loose, wobbly, squeaky noisy wipers in use, then forget replacing with another Mk 2 linkage, get yourself a Mk 1 linkage, far better made for the job and should last the life of the roadster better then the MK 2 unit.
