well what a great start to the year, look at this weather, lets be honest we deserve it and need it, hope you're enjoying all those car meets going on and making the most of it,..NEWS....massive thank you to Mr Steve owner of Goodwood Sports cars for believing in what we do and sponsoring the forum so fellow owners can use her to help in saving cash and keeping them on the road where they belong, other news is we are shuffling a plan together for a dedicated you tube channel for everyone to use, which will also have guests videos to help, bit more on that as we finalise it all, lets see those builds and any guides needed please just ask, enjoy the roof down weather.

This is a easy enough sensor to change on a NB which picks up the water temp and tells the ECU which then uses it for a few other items on your roadster, one being for the cooling fan to kick in and off to stop overheating, it can become intermittent or just fail, stopping the fan from working...

The hinge bolt on the MK1 NA 1.8 alternator and on all models and versions of NB/NBFL Mk2/2.5 there after is a pain at service time...basically the bolt is fed from the back to the front and the outside leg of the alternator is threaded, which is open to the elements, the alloy of the alternator...

The alternator on 1.8 engined cars is bolted in from the rear of the car which makes adjustment and removal a pretty long winded operation, so when changing a popular modification is to replace the factory fitted bolt with a nut AND bolt from an alternator from a 1.6 engined car.
