Am planning to change my car's alternator tomorrow - mk1 1.6 - task looks fairly simple from the description in the Rob Grainger manual, but I'm guessing the tricky bit is going to be getting the new alternator slotted in - presumably I'll need to carefully lower it into place with the left...

I have a problem with the floor of my mk3 getting wet and I think I know where the water is coming from, I just need a decent solution to stop it.

Just replacing the upper and lower gear lever boot/seals and took out the bottom large nylon cup ring to clean it. The bottom wavy washer came out in 3 pieces. Went to Mazda and they only sell the complete turret for £68. Went to a scappy and got one only broken in one place for free.
