This is just to show the differences between the Exhaust gaskets from the MK 1 NA 1989 to the 2005 NB 2005, info was submitted from Andrew at Autolinkmx5...

The early Mk 1's had a black one and the later was green,(hiding behind the gray relay) , it is behind the dash, undo the the two phillip head screws that hold the steering column cover and you will see it to your right after you have bent yourself into a position that is not even listed in the...

The Mk 1 has a relay(behind the dash on the right of the steering column, Right hand drive Roadsters,) for raising the Barn doors(headlights) up and down

There is the early type,(Black) and the later type (Green).

Water pumps.........

All Mk2 and Mk2.5 have the 1.8 Water Pump - the rule is, if it has a multi-rib alternator belt - it has a 1.8 water pump!

1.8cc water pump, note the extra bit on the left with the threaded hole for the alternator bracket

The Electric Window Regulators on MK1, Mk2/Mk2.5 and Mk3 are different.

The are handed and you can check which side they are by the stamped L or R on the end of the regulator... REMEMBER LEFT and RIGHT are taken as if you were sitting in the driver seat...

There is a difference in the MK1 and Mk2 / Mk2.5 cigarette lighter. The socket is a little difference but either lighter will fit either socket..

Mazda didn't fit a front grille to the mouth of the car. A grille will reduce airflow to the radiator.
