This will work for any car.
So here is a quick how to...
First remove the side wall trim panel which is held in place by a trim clip at the top at the back and a spring clip to the body work behind it ,which just pulls free with a little pull. Locate the wire that runs from the interior light door pillar switch (Red and white on a Mk 1, but watch out as there are two of that colour)

The black wire from the alarm/buzzer needs to be connected to this wire, you may need to add an extra foot of wire to the black wire, in the pic I have stripped back the cover and attached ready for lead loading/soldering (please cover the soldered connection with plenty of electrical tape), you can also use scotch/snap connections, but soldering is a more solid way of doing this.

Next the red wire needs to be connected to the illumination wire on one of the switches plugs, (Red and black on a Mk 1), strip back the wire cover and either lead load/solder or scotch/snap clip, a tip would be to trial fit first just to make sure that you have the correct interior pillar light switch wire before making it a permanent connection, (please cover the soldered connection with plenty of electrical tape)
Test by switching on the side lights/illumination, and the alarm/buzzer should work with the door open.
