Hi All
After many trouble free years I now realise I need to have a new roof fitted.
I've been searching but not sure of the best place to go, and having been inactive for so long lost track of what is happening.
Any help in locating a service to supply and fit a new hood would be appreciated.
I am looking to upgrade the vinyl roof/plastic window to a hood with a heated glass window.
My car is a 1993 Eunos S-Special in Brilliant Black.
Regards
Mike C

Re: New Hoods
Hi Mike,
For a new hood with a heated glass window, I'd recommend looking into reputable specialists like Autolinkmx5, or mx5 parts sellers used like north yorkshire mx5, prestige spares UK , to name a couple recommended, scroll through market place and the bay of e or go direct to the hood makers new ,which there is two main makers in the UK ...BAS international ( theirs are by far the closest to OE) or Car hood warehouse , They offer high-quality replacement hoods and can direct you to local fitting services, Additionally, consider checking local MX-5 or Eunos car clubs for recommendations. This way, you'll find trusted providers and can upgrade with confidence.

Hi Mike,
For your 1993 Eunos S-Special, I'd recommend looking into specialized convertible top suppliers and installers. A few reputable places to start include:
1. Robbins Auto Top - Known for high-quality convertible tops, including those with heated glass windows.
2. Moss Miata - Specializes in parts for Miatas and Eunos, offering quality tops and other accessories.
3. Carhood Warehouse - Offers a wide range of convertible tops and installation services in the UK.
Be sure to check reviews and possibly consult Miata/Eunos enthusiast forums for personal recommendations. Good luck with your upgrade!
Regards,
Tobby

Re: New Hoods
I found the standard PVC type with a zip out rear plastic window is a relatively easy DIY job.....mine came from MX5 City and took me a day to fit.
But wait for a hot sunny day.......DON'T try it on a cold day.

Re: New Hoods
Good to hear you got it sorted.
Our plan is to fit a mk2 hood with glass rear screen as and when ours needs replacing.
