Hi all,
New member here just figuring out the forum.
Only recently got my mk1 but can already tell it will be one of the most fun cars I'll ever own.
Needs a few bits sorting but overall in decent shape.

Honestly some of the how to's written on here are really good. The amount of detail put in to them with the photos and everything is something most people just dont do and expect you to guess half of it.

Bits wise, main things being the engine is leaking and more than I originally realised. Seems to be oil all over rather than just the top. Brakes are questionable and alignment seems to give the car a mind of its own. Hopefully can all get sorted soon though

Actually ended up using the guide on the lighting kit for the bonnet last night as after seeing how useful it is, it was a no brianer.
After messing around with torches while installing it, the difference with it on was well worth the effort.

New rain rail has also now been ordered so that the leak from under the rear window can be fixed. Although it seems dry on top of the shelf carpet, underneath its pretty soaked unfortunately.

Thanks,
Love the thing to be honest. Such an easy and fun car to drive and not having to import replacement parts from japan every 2 minutes is a bonus aswell unlike my last car

I really loved my old MK1, but it is now gone to the great scrapyard in the yard.
