Hi all!

Postby JC-10AE » Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:03 pm

After reading through some bits and bobs on here and meeting Mr Mazda Mender himself, I figured I should make an account and get properly involved in the community.

I bought a slightly neglected Mk2 10AE back in October to learn mechanics/restoration, and have been absolutely loving it! It’s a bit battered and bruised (and rusty) but it drives fine, and I have already done a few small jobs.

Next big job on the list is rust, primarily around the rear arches. Currently researching and deciding whether I should buy full replacement panels, or just a repair panel. I’ll post in the relevant forum when I’ve done some more homework, but if anybody has any tips in the meantime I’ll take anything!

:)

Thanks, looking into these now. Unfortunately out of the 3 welders I’ve messaged, 2 have retired and one has stopped taking jobs for an unknown amount of time…
