New but not new!

Postby graymattor » Sun May 10, 2020 8:24 pm

Hi All,

ive been a member since 2016, but i cannot believe i have never posted to say Hi!

I have two MX5 MK1 imports, one an S-Ltd (Project, was a rough as hell when i got it, but was already modified so continued down that route, it has been a work in progress for 4 years! i bought it, was distraught, so started to work on it and well, still no where near finished!) the other isnt really mine its the Mrs's she has a yellow J-Limited, totally standard except wheels and the wood wheel and knob missing on the inside, she is the 2nd owner in the UK, had it 3 years, thought it was a sterling car but unfortunately some dogey sill repairs means it now needs a proper repair job doing, welder purchased and now checking out where to get the parts and what extent to go to with it, it looks as though its just the rear sills and up to the arch but not past the ridge, but i may replace the arch and full sill, seeing as though i am doing it i may as well do it all in one hit and get it painted, it also has fly wheel judder so will be look at doing that as well. the joys of the little old cars :-)

I hope to get to know a few of you, some i may already know from Facebook, but im not one for posting, ive also met the legends that are Emily and Dave :-P

Thanks

Chris

Welcome first and foremost.

Like you I am not a Facebook user but can often be found on here reading topics, build threads and the like as well as seeking the odd bits of help.

Pop some pictures up of the MX5s.
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!
