A major warning with the alternators from a aftermarket seller

Get it out of your system. Keep it clean'ish. It can be just about anything that has ragged you up, but please not about the OC. Leave their politics there.

A major warning with the alternators from a aftermarket seller

Postby Mazda Mender » Thu Apr 25, 2024 6:39 am

***** THIS IS A MAJOR WARNING ABOUT AFTERMARKET ALTERNATORS****

Make no bones about this , it is a very serious warning and "NOT" to be taken lightly ....

Unsure if this as happened to any Mk1 1.8 owners yet? ,but this is the second one I have been involved with on the Mk2's , owners being sold the wrong aftermarket alternators, resulting in major 100 amp slow blow fuses blowing plus others, blown ECU/immobiliser system and blown dial clusters...please do not buy them , use a proper mx specialist that knows their parts to help you and not bring major bigger bills to sort out....the alternator part number on the unit is 13719N....it is for different model Mazda's....pics attached....

Well worth repeating.

If I need something desperately, I have started using Parkers otherwise its Autolink or Yorkshire MX5s
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!
