Motorbike paint

Hi all,

My friend had a minor off today at a bike trackday and damaged a removeable fairing.

I've made a fibreglass repair and now need to paint it - I have the paint code which is a solid block colour. The existing paint comes off if you rub hard with alcohol, so I think it's a cellulose based...?

In rattle cans I can have either cellulose, 2K acrylic or synthetic (whatever that is) - should I chose cellulose?

2k less likely to sink. Use an etch primer on the fibre glass first.

Thanks guys, ordered two colourmatched 2K rattle cans - the ones with the pin at the base you pull out to activate. Will be an interesting experiment!

Might try them myself. Had to replace the front mudguard on my Blackbird and so far no one has been able to correctly match the colour up. It's close but not close enough.
