Not a lot as changed since the last up date with covid lock downs, work being mental, and sorting everyone else's roadsters so that side of things went manic too.
So she is booked in for a full hit of paint on the 6th Feb which I will then be able to finishs her off with the last bit of undersealing and inject all the box sections...quick clean over including the engine bay, full alignment and MOT..and she will be up for grabs...
New wheels and boots fitted, so the new owner will just need to stay on top of her and enjoy her...

I like it and would love to put my name down for her but unfortunately Covid has cost me my pension top up job and now like many other people out there, I am having to watch my pennies.

However I am lucky enough to have a private pension coming in and actually own a nice little Eunos.

Well she as gone off for her new coat of paint at last...thanks China and your Covid germ you shared and lock downs...should be back in 3 weeks all done...quick tidy up...inject all the box sections, nip her round for a full alignment, and then MOT....and she is up for grabs ...

I thought I would just highlight to possible new owners that you need to do your home work before buying a car, if unsure "ask". There are plenty that are time served and know there stuff here in the UK that are always willing to help if needed because of the passion.
If you go and look at one of these roadsters, make sure you are armed with info of what and where to look. That the price is correct regardless of the one owner FB experts say that a MK 1 is worth a "fortune". Better still take someone with you that knows these roadsters.
Don't be scared of a bit of rust that can be repaired correct and treated just make sure you fraction that into the asking price for the budget you have. If it as been repaired, do not take their word for it , you want to see proof and pictures.
A bad repair can eat into a budget when it has been over priced on a bad repair to sell to an un knowledgeable new owner with trust and love in their eyes for this shiny 2 seater, to then be needing to be removed and redone correct for nearly what they paid for the pumped up price of the roadster.
This is one I personally bought ,and the chap told me it was all done with minor rust repair so had upped up the price. Which I took no trust in and brought the price down so the " all done repairs" that he over stressed the point many times, could be removed and checked into the build budget. This is what was behind the "all been done by me" repairs looked like on the passenger side rear he did.
Do not take the word off anyone, proof is needed and a camera etc... although nothing major to us, it still needs sorting correct.. on sending the roadster to Steve for the paint to be sorted, i asked him to check the repairs, which he buzzed the skim off, or in this case which was no shock ...filler to reveal a bad repair which was a plate over and the inners not sorted and there is a small hole to ne repaired correct also, you can see where the metal was to thin and would of been melting as he chased and gave up to fill on the outer so called repair, and that the plug welds were aimed at surface rust which were not holding any way, he had also cut to deep into the inner support which will be corrected and where he had welded the seam where the rear wing meets the sill outer, but as i said i did knock down the price to compensate this any way, drivers rear sill is good, steve will be correcting the work needed as she is there with him.
Please Be warned, These people don't care about you, they just want your cash and rip you off...Don't let them do it, ask us all first.

Just a foot note really for anyone fully revamping/restoring a Mx/roadster...removing the screen is a must to properly complete the process correct...I had attacked the loose seam seal behind the wings and up into the skittle, the two reasons for the screen removal is so the paint is all new and fresh to seal a screen back against and to finish chasing the seam to eradicate and other surface rust to treat, paint and seal before it carries on to become a problem,as we are dealing in some cases now with 30 odd year old roadsters that were initially built to last 7-10 years...the seam seal in the overlap of panels is dry and well past its best now...do it right, do it once, sometimes more is less...my thanks to Ste for finishing that process for me before paint...

I have an important announcement to make to anyone interested in owning any of the personal renovation/revamp/ updated / tastefully modified personal builds I have or am in the process of creating or to come, that are fully done ready to use and last, any body work that is seen fit to address will be done and logged for viewing thanks to Map body shop in Wigan by Steve Pemb and mally....you will need to go through Goodwood Sports cars , Mr S Bloxham him self who will be happy to take your calls etc if interested, I can of course answer any questions you may have on any of them if needed, but the build threads are all on the forum live and are updated as and when with nothing to hide as well as on this profile page, I will be handing over a number of roadsters to Mr Bloxham to stroke and lick as he sees fit, any one wishing to view any of the projects in the flesh are more than welcome if wished as long as you bring jammy Dodgers.
